Honeymoon Beach is located next to Palolem Beach in South Goa, India. A pristine beach it takes about thirty minutes to reach from mainland Palolem by boat. Campfires, dolphin spotting & swimming in translucent waters are some of the activities at the secluded beach. My first visit to Palolem was twenty eight years ago & most recent visit was in May 2018. In between have visited Palolem on many ocassions. Has Palolem changed, yes it has - more tourists, more restaurants, beach shacks & revellers. Also, nude bathing has stopped. There is no such thing as 'off season' as restaurants remain open even during the monsoons. What hasn't changed is the 'temper of the sea.' To this day waters are calm (its a flat beach, stretching for a kilometer), locals are unobtrusive, & non-interfering, & backpackers from across the world frequent Palolem from October to March. Yoga too has made its mark here, a couple of institutes offer teacher training as well as regular classes for practitioners. Go for it if you wish to have a different beach experience in Goa! Pictures are from my recent visit, the last three are from 1990.
