My time in India is running out so at great extravagance got car to take me to Kumily about a 7 hour journey This is an attractive area with a huge National Park where they say there are tigers but few people ever manage to see them. Kerela feels and looks different from Tamil Nadu, firstly there is less rubbish lying arround and secondly the people seem proud of their state as many ask how I like Kerela and how it compares. There have just been elections here and the communist party have won a majority
Booked a two day trek round Lake Peryar camping out overnight ended up being the only person on the trek but this was OK saw elephant but not at close quarters as they can be dangerous, bison , monkeys, giant squirrels and many birds good trek Visited the spice gardens which was also interesting
