Kochin was really nice to start from. Good weather, good food, really nice people. We made friends with the keepers of our home stay: the good karma inn. The showed us places we wouldnt have found otherwise. I will try to upload the pictures of the past few days: the backwater trip, the elefant wash, temples and palaces...
On sunday we travelled to Ooty. We had to set off at 10:30 p.m. to arrive somewhere by 4 a.m. to go further with a Rikshaw to take another bus at 5 a.m. to be able to take the "blue mountain train" which goes 5 hours to Ooty (and just 2 hours by road...). The train is antique, I think my dad would have been thrilled to go with it. The scenery was amazing! But after 10 km the engine broke down. SO we stood in the middle of the mountains waiting for the repairs. Finally after 2 hours we had to return back from where we came from. Then there was another brake down, they had to fetch another locomotive. So all in all we spend like 7 hours to travel 10 km and back (hahaha). In the evening we finally reached Ooty completely exhausted. On top of that we didnt realize we were in the mountain. It was freezing at night and I got a cold. So the next day we took the bus and fled to Mysore. Mysore is a great place, where you can still see some of the old Maharadscha splendors. But much of it is left to rot. Indian dont care much for it. They are just busy to go about their business to get over the day. It is funny to watch the roads with all the cows and dogs holding up traffic and all these motorcyclists and Rikshaws giving a honk concert. Yesterday and today I ate mith my hands only, for the first time. I am very proud of myself 😊

Loved this and other blogs on India.. Good sense of Humor :)
I am from India.. I am also in love with India.. You can find here the best and worst at the same time.. Probably because of big population and rich cultural heritage. I specially like the easy access of Spirituality in India. though there are frauds but every once in a while we have someone getting enlightened for example ramana maharshi in recent past.. and also we have all the spiritual philosophies available to us as we grow. though still after all this I am still waiting for my experience of self realization..
