Finally, an internet connection that stays up long enough to update our blog!

We are in Kottayam at an Ayurvedic resort, having had our bodies oiled and massaged by feet... Highly recommended. (Yes, we paid somebody to step on us)

A few days ago we were staying at a lovely family homestay in Moonelave. They have an organic farm of spices, fruit and vegetables. Absolutely lovely people, they took us around to tea plantations that is run by a cooperative, then to his cousin's who farms rubber trees. They showed us the process of tapping and collection of rubber tree milk to rubber sheets which is use for making tires. The area is hilly and very green. Againg we should have stay one extral night. I still have not tried to wear a sari and have my hands painted. David, on the otehr hand, found wearing dotti very comfortable.

We were very sad to leave this place, but Thekkady was waiting for us. Hmm... Thekkady appeared very cold and wet but we braved the weather and went watching wildlife on a boat in the sanctuary. We saw a few different birds, deer, wild pigs, buffalo and finally a family of elephants!

Next day we went back to the coast (back to teh warm climate) and took a houseboat in Kumarakom for a day. Wat an experience! We would have loved to stay on this boat for MUCH longer! Anywhere you look, there are beautiful views of rice paddy fields, banana and coconuts. One of teh most wonderful things to do. Would absolutely love to do it again...

Pasijutau vos ne kaip Vaitkaiciuose 😊 Apziurejom kaip arbata auginama, renkama ir tt, po to kaip "guminiai" medziai apdirbami (kaip guma gaunama) Laiko, aisku, pritruko. Bet Deividas gavo proga uzsideti "dotti"

Po to vaziavom i Thekkady - toliau i kalnus. O ten salta ir slapia. Deividas persalo, bet dabar jau geriau. plaukem i ezera ziureti gyvunijos. Na, matem pauksciu visokiu, stirn, buivolu, ir pagaliau drambliu seimynele...

Sekancia diena iskeliavom atgal prie juros - i siluma. Tiesiai i "houseboat" (laive / valti - ziurekit nuotraukas). labai gerai praleidom laika! Geriau nei pliazas. Turejom 3 zmones apie mus du sokinejancius, maista ruosiancius ir tt... 😊 Nezina, kaip bus kai grisim i kanada...
