Alleppey

We headed to alleppey to check out the backwaters which were absolutely gorgeous. Nicole and I took this ridiculously romantic canoesk boat. its quite popular to houseboat around here and there are some amazing boats. SInce the canoe was small we/our guides were able to go through the small canals which pass through many tiny villages with rice paddi fields that are only accessible by water. Alleppey sits on the ocean and the beach was stunning, although totally deserted. May in India is the hottest month so there's not much tourism and its bloody hot. The backwaters were refreshing.
