Srinagar is the Capital city of India’s northernmost State- Jammu and Kashmir and the Headquarters of Srinagar District.Srinagar is famous for its canals, houseboats and Mughal gardens.Srinagar is a unique city because of its lakes -the Dal, Nagin and Anchar. Srinagar has only two climates. Summers are quite pleasant and very chilly, freezing in winters. Summers during April to September have maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum well below 10°C. The duration of October to March offers minimum consistently well below 0°C and maximum only about 15°C. Winters are amazing to enjoy snow capped mountains and scenic beauties.
