Well, the last time I told you we were planning to go to the desert. We did and we survived. We went from jodhpur to jaisalmer where we had arranged a safari on camels. we spent 2 and a half day in the desert and slept underneath the stars. We really enjoyed, but after the 2 days we really got fed up with only looking at camels and desert. Also our arses hurted like hell. They say people come to the desert for peace, but for us it was a little too much peace (still we found ourselves to be in India due to all the plastic bottles lying around ion the sand dunes!! of course we did not take photographs of that 😊)
After all it was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed the chai the camel drivers made for us (they also cooked for us, which was great as well)
After the desert we went to jaipur where we went to the biggest cinema in India. That was really fun: people shouting and clapping during the movie: fantastic and extremely funny to experience.

From jaipur we went to agra: it was hot there!! 40 degrees in the shade!! Of course we saw the Taj Mahal and it was great! such a beautiful building! From Agra we took a big journey, which lead us via Delhi and Kalka to Shimla. The train from Kalka to Shimla was a great adventure! The tracks were constructed by the british in 1903 and are 96 km long. The journey took us 4,5 hours, but it was really amazing.
Now we are in Manali and plan to go zorbing from a ski hill! great fun!
We enjoy the last 1,5 week in the himalayas!

Greetz from Lisa and I

kisses for those who want it (Marty: please give one to your son for me)

Love you!

- Wim
