Goa
We arrived at Goa with the promises of wild parties, beautiful beaches full of hot girls in bikinis and fantastic food with plenty of meat and fish. Well one out of three isn’t too bad!
Goa was formally a Portuguese colony and is mainly made up of Catholics which means meat is back on the menu The meat and fish went down a treat and was well needed after eating like a veggie for the past three weeks.
We arrived here right at the end of the season thus most of the other tourists were older than my granddad! But nether the less I still had a really good time relaxing on the beaches (while Dave sleeps in typically till 3-4pm! lazy git) and watching a few live premiership games in the evening. For the first time in India the locals actually like football and there even pitches scattered about.
Due to the lack of any night life we only went out clubbing once, on the Saturday night at a club called Tito’s. There was a staggering entrance fee of 800 rupees (£10) each unless you were accompanied by a female. After two failed attempts
by me trying to get girls who didn’t speak a word of English it was Dave’s turn. Luckily we bumped into some English girls and Dave turned on the charm and persuaded a couple to come in with us which meant free entry! We were the centre of attention and some of the dancing in the club from the locals was hilarious. One guy in particular was challenging everyone to a ‘Starsky and Hutch’ style dance off!

Goa; meat glorious meat!! And beer too!! As we have been starved of alcohol and carnivourism in rajhastan it’s a breath of fresh air to get steak, chicken and all sorts of fish washed down with a tasty and crisp kingfisher beer. Its more commercialized, cleaner, slightly more expensive but ultimately more relaxed here. We sit on the beach, swim in the sea, have good good accommodation and are eating like kings. I enjoyed rajastan for the adventures and the unknown but here its just chilling all the way. The only thing I miss about rajastan are the sights and the silly moustaches, but definitely not the dirtiness, craftiness and the no meatness!!
We ve stayed in a
few places in goa, heres a quick rundown;
Charpora; this place is small, quiet in the day, loud at night and holds the world record for most dreadlocks and tattoos per square metre in the world!! We only stayed for three days and met an English weirdo called paul who tried to show us around goa on our bikes, but instead he generally got lost and we went on pointless and tedious bike rides for literally hours. However he did show us baga beach which is where we headed next……
Baga; we stayed about 2 mins from the beach and right near the centre to. We ate lots of meat and fish and drank lots of beer. The beach is nice but the most memorable part was the Saturday night on the lash that we had. we watched the red scouse gits beat the blue scouse gits and then headed to a nightclub called titos. One problem. It was either 800 rupees(£10) in or free if you were with a bird. We decided that as we are trying to be as tight as tom that we needed two ladies. After two failed attempts by tony to try and
entice some girls in I decided to turn on the dave charm. Voila, the first girls I asked came straight in, politely refused a drink and were on there way. You know what? Its hard being this damn good! As we were 800 rupees richer we decided to celebrate with 4 evil shots each and proceeded to dance the night away in a drunken stupour with an English guy, a 4 foot 11 thai guy who wanted a dance-off with everyone, an Indian guy who hopped around on one foot all night and thought he was dancing,(he made me look like Michael Jackson!!) and two canadian birds who the local guys would not leave alone.
The best bit though was when an average looking russian bird started dancing with tony. Im not sure if tony was interested probably not, but most of you know how he loves female attention, until she said to him, ”I really like you, so I ll give you a good price.” Ha ha ha!! We left the club about 4, staggered home and then apparently had an argument about where the torch was!? But I cant remember. What a wicked night though.
Palolem; we
moved here from baga as there were more grannies there than a Wednesday morning on bury market!! i love oaps but when you go in a pub where there are 10 people who equal the age of yoda (800 years!!), it doesn’t exactly make me wanna party. So we moved into a beach hut about an hour and a half away from baga. The beach is nicer, there are rocks to climb and there are more people of our own age. We ve been crabbing today and caught a grand total of 2 anorexic fish and a crab that had a claw and 4 legs missing. Lets put it this way, it made a happy meal look like a feast!! Its off to kochin tomorrow! Laters peeps.
