Goa to Karnataka

Today is a travel day. We learnt that trains must be booked months in advance because schools are out at this time. So we are on the bus. We woke up at 6am, took the bus to vasco, then from vasco to margao, from margao to karwar, to murdeshwar. We reached murdeshwar at about 4pm where we met up with Ram. We then drove to Mangalore and crashed at a hotel. The buses aren't too bad. Its more the roads that present the problem. Most of the roads are largely giant pothole to giant pothole although here and there you get a patch that has been paved in the last decade. The buses are crowded and hot but as a general rule the people are friendly. The countryside is very beautiful. We have both successfully killed the juice on our ipods which dont seem to be charging.
