Well we got here after a 12 hour flight through the night. Hong Kong airport is amazing. You have to get on a shuttle train to get to immigration after leaving the plane. The platform had glass doors that opened as the train arrived and it stopped so each train door matched the platform one!! Why can't we manage something like that. The airport is huge, very efficient and spotlessly clean. The luggage was waiting when we got to baggage collection in a huge baggage hall. We caught a taxi , again well organised, and ventured into Hong Kong rush hour traffic, not for the faint hearted. The journey took us across two spectacular bridges and through a multi laned tunnel with fantastic views of the harbour and hills all the way to our hotel in Kowloon. We are on the 31st floor with views over the harbour with free mini bar, complimentary hot food in the evening and have just got back to our room having sampled the complimentary cakes and drinks in the executive lounge........what a life. We are going to attempt our first try at including some photographs of the views from our room onto the blog!! Hope
this works. It is now 8.30 pm so it's off to bed time we are 8 hours ahead of UK time.

Glad to hear you arrived safely I expect you will be too tired for the mini bar it's amazing but true! Beware the beautifully waitress served drinks they come at a high price we remember them well! Enjoy the adventure stating to feel very envious. x
