No one ever talks to you on the tube called the MTR in Hong Kong which stands for something bland which i cant really remember right now... they stare at me in particular probably because i am a gwello woman(foreigner)... At first i found that quite offputting - even a bit irritating ... They dont even pretend not to be staring .. and if you start back it just makes matters worse.
Now i just accept it as part an parcel of living in Asia and standing out a bit (especially with my red hair)
SO imagine my surprise the other nightn when this guy just got on the train and loped over and proceed ed to show me a photo album of all his foreigner "friends"... All i could do was smile and nod and hope like hell the train would come to my stop quickly...😊
