Hello!

We have made it to Hong Kong, and the first leg of our trip - a 21 day tour through China - is now officially at an end. We have travelled from Beijing to Hong Kong, via Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, Emei Shan, Chongqing, Wuhan, Guilin and Yangshuo (see attached Map if it works!). We are in HOng Kong till the 4th of May, and we will try our best to fill in all the gaps of the last month or so since we left Europe on th 6th April. We have both time and the means to update our blog a bit more regularly now. The trip was a bit hectic at times, with all our free time taken up with additional sight seeing, washing clothes, meeting up with the group members etc. Also, we now have a netbook...having sworn off all technology apart from a camera before leaving, we now realise how useful it will be to have a computer, not just for writing up our travels, but also for backing up photos (we have taken over 1200 already), booking hotels, checking emails etc...so, within an hour of arriving in shoppers paradise Hong Kong, we were back in our hotel unpacking our new toy!
So, hopefully by the time we leave HK for Vietnam, you will all have a bit more idea about what we have been up to! First up is a summary of Beijing, stay tuned!
