First off, many thanks to all of you who have commented on the blog so far or sent us e-mails. It's nice to see that so many of you are enjoying reading it. Keep them coming! Wow!
Hello! I'm catching up at last. It looks amazing! Hope you don't forget how to cook that scrummy food. Alec and I are in Headingley library (have come up for a few days to say hi to Grannie and everyone) Brendan we both reckon the garlic toast looks good (must be lunch time). Thats a groovy beard by the way - John had one once. Fantastic to see such a different landscape, agriculture, transport system etc. Enjoy! Luv Sian

... so we had a little drink...
Are all the beers the two of you keep drinking local produce or imports from Oz or what? What kind of prices? You must both be developing tough systems (digestive and immune etc) considering the snacks eaten from stalls at the edge of the Yantse, your own cookery (very impressive, especially the tossing of the wok!) and the fact that the dishwasher whose business you spurned can't have been alone in using those gloriously polluted facilities....
