"Tashi Delek!" Our local guide, Jam, greeted us as he placed a traditional Tibetan white scarf (khata) on our necks. After 53 hours of train travel, we were finally in Lhasa. I used to believe I could find the cure for cancer. And diabetes. And win a Nobel prize for it. Then I went out of the hospital. Then I discovered the road. And enjoyed it. Hello: i read your blog with great interest and excitement. If it's not too much trouble, may i know what is the name of the local travel agency in Manila who assisted you with your itinerary/tibetan permit ? Was the permit mailed to you from China to Manila ? Hope u dont mind. Have a nice day !
