My morning ritual is a walk to get some baozi (steamed buns...my favorite with pork inside)

This one I can order on my own.

Walking back to the studio the early morning watermelon vendors are set up for the day.

Walking to the back gate other vendors set up temporary for the day. I bought a great butcher knife for $4.

The sculpture factory area street is still lined by small shops selling pottery, jewelry, jewelry hardware, traditional sculpture, mold makers, glazers, a couple small restaurants, studios, the Potteryworkshop and the youth hostel. Very good area to live and work.

Sculptures being glazed at a small studio two doors down from my rented space. Sometimes they spray the glaze outside which drives me nuts as we walk through it each day.

The one sculpture is in a timeout and has to face the building away from the others.

My new molds are coming in handy. Instead of making two forms a day I now can make twelve. I have an installation planned with these pieces.

Lunch at Coohoo Park. A basement establishment with about a dozen choices for food. Nearly everyone includes Manguo Bing (Mango and shaved ice)

Walking down the open market street we stumble upon an abandoned pair of shoes. A heal broke and the woman apparently just slipped them off and walked away.

They fell apart in the rainy weather.
