The priorities here are sometimes every so slightly askew.
Sam's left foot is quite bulbous and his shoes tend to irritate him. He had a tendency to kick his left shoe off at every opportunity, so I switched to warm, woolly socks, but he still kicks off the sock from his left foot.
I am frequently accosted by people in the street for "allowing" Sammy to have a bare foot in early spring. The best example of this was a woman who vociferously berated me from a scooter stopped at the lights, while her unhelmeted, unrestrained children dangled precariously at all angles... because, colds are serious, people!

I think Sammy needs some slippers, maybe some Ug boots to welcome him to Australia!
