This is a picture of Yenson and Cat at KTV Christmas Eve. I woke up today feeling like absolute crap. I didn't want to go to class and every bone in me was fighting the urge to scream that I had to teach on Christmas Eve. I was thinking to myself "if you told a child to go to school on Christmas Eve in America they'd laugh in your face". Also I got a very strange phone call this morning from someone who I still have no idea who it was. Of course, I went to class anyways only to soon discover that we don't have this weekend off but we have next weekend off. Instead of teaching December 31st and January 1st we have to teach January 2nd and 3rd (which I'm still a little confused about as I normally have tutoring classes on Monday and Tuesday but I suppose I'll find out about those soon enough). Fortunately last night I had bought a HUGE amount of candy for my friends and students and everyone at work. So today I taught an hour of my K3 class and then showed everyone that I had candy for them (at which they screamed with joy). I then had everyone say "Happy Christmas Eve" to

This is a picture of Rudy, myself and Eason at KTV Christmas Eve. Rudy always blinks, I think that's his trademark. me to get the candy. It really made me happy to see how happy they were to get the candy. I think it made it all worthwhile. Hopefully the rest of my classes will be that excited about it.
Yesterday I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off as I've been doing for the majority of the week. In the morning I met Michael and his girlfriend and the two of us went book shopping for a good book for me to study Chinese with. Then in the afternoon I had class on top of class on top of class from my Chinese class (which was absolutely awful - unfortunately my teacher hasn't realized that my reading level and my speaking level are completely different with Chinese so she gave me some really hard readings and then once I said the Chinese would translate them into English - which was stupid because I knew the English once I had said them I just couldn't read the characters) to tutoring Sally to tutoring Will. My class with Will was a bit strange - it only lasted an hour as she was late and during it there were

This is an awesome picture of Cat and Craig. Craig had a really bad crush on Cat but it never went anywhere. The two of them are still really great friends. I'm really glad they came to KTV tonight. two outbreaks of screaming and yelling from two different parents. Afterwards I asked what had happened and they told me that a student was running in the halls so Summer reprimanded him and then his parents got really pissed off and started yelling at her. Anyways, after all the classes I went shopping for the candy and then went upstairs to get my hair done at the Salon. Once the boys were off work about 8 of us went over to the 24-7 Guan Dong place and had dinner. I finally figured out why they go to that place so often. There's a Guan Dong barbecue place next door and apparently that's where they used to have the Salon so they used to go to the 24-7 Guan Dong place a lot after work - and they still do it sometimes. We had a pretty good time at the restaurant although they were speaking in Hunan dialect for some of the time so they lost me a little bit.
On Thursday I had a pretty good and busy day. I woke up and went to teach Yang Dan (the waitress at Easy Way). We had a great lesson as usual although I'm a little worried that I'm teaching her a bit too fast. Around noon Craig called me and asked me to meet him to go shopping with him and Cat. Yang Dan actually understood most of the conversation! When I got off the phone she said to me "well, I guess you'd better go then. It's 12 anyways so have fun with your friends." I was surprised. I got to go shopping with Cat and Craig. Cat and I both bought a new pair of boots - mine are really great - I'm going to wear them to the L Salon party tonight along with the outfit I bought with Camillo on Tuesday.
On Wednesday I started teaching Yang Dan's boss - it was a bit hectic and I ended up teaching my usual 1-8pm and then teaching the boss for 2 hours (which made for a very busy and a bit tiring day).
On Tuesday I finally got to go shopping with Camillo after I had my Chinese class. We only had an hour to shop before the store closed but Camillo just got me in there and kept throwing things at me to try on until we'd gotten something we both liked. I thought part of it was pretty amusing because he had me try on a couple pants and after a little bit I realized that he was checking out my ass in order to say whether the pants looked good on me or not - if he could see my ass they were good pants if not then forget it. I thought this was pretty funny because some of them were totally not my style. In the end I got a pair of "ass pants" that we were both happy with. After shopping Camillo and I went over to Xiao Jang's place and watched tv for a little bit. They were all ranting and raving over a watch Xiao Jang had bought and I was just paying attention to the TV until they asked me about the watch. Apparently Xiao Jang had bought the watch for 10,000 kuai (about 1,150$) in Shenyang. I thought it was a bit expensive but they argued that it was a normal price to which I was absolutely shocked!
