Red Panda
Here is a picture of the red panda. It looks almost like a cross between a fox and a racoon. Hey everyone it's me(again)!! I read all of the comments, I really liked the =) Can't wait to see everyone when I get back and all of my pets 😊
Today was our first day in Chongqing. We left the Victoria Katarina and we went to learn a litttle bit of the history of Chongqing. The Quin(Chin) dinesty was around in the 17 centery(I think). Quin was the king. He didn't rule all of China, but a small part of China. An empror ruled all of China. There is a difference. We saw some figures on how the people lived. The rich people made medicine and gave free education to the kids. They also helped them with life, they gave them money too. Also during world war 2 people had burried porcelain and other precious belongings in the ground. Then after world war 2 a man came and payed a family to move out. Once the family was moved he started to dig through the floor. This man dug up the porcelain that was burried during the war and then that house became a museum. I would definately move out of a house if I got paid to do it!!!!
Panda
It's lunch time for him/her :D Around the area there were small rock wells. The wells were used as fire extinguishers. So if there was a fire the people would use the water in the wells to try and put it out. But some people started to put money in them so they became a wishing well I guess.
Next we went to the zoo. We saw many animals there, some we could see in the Toronto zoo and some you could very rarly see in a zoo. There were red pandas there as well as panda bears. The red pandas were soooooo cute!!!! The panda bears were very cute too. There was a baby and a mother. The mother pushed the baby off the little platform. The baby fell and the mother laid where the baby was standing. Poor little guy. 😞 It looked like that fall hurt. But it was cute.
Further into the zoo we saw donkeys, different kinds of llamas, camels, fish, sharks, a giraffe, lions, hyenas and many more. There was also a panda bear that we saw that was doing some sort of trick. What he/she would do is got up to the bamboo fence and then
Cherry Blossoms
Some trees and cherry blossoms. It looks pretty. stand on its hind legs. Then it would walk along the fence a little balancing with its front paws, and then it would give him/her self a little push then did a 180 turn. It was really cool to see, but it took him/her a while before he/she actualy did the trick. I enjoyed it.
Here in Chongqing they have a special dinner called a hot-pot. Except you would cook it your self. In the resturant that we were in the pot was devided into two parts. One with spicy water and on with non spicy water. There was food on the table and you would take your fork or chopsticks and just drop food into what ever side you wanted. Then you would just let it cook in the boiling water. It was like a fondu if you have ever had one. It was a neat way to cook your food. I loved the beef that they had and Parker loved there dofu. People say tofu, but it's actualy called dofu in China as we learned today.
We went to peoples square too. There were some very pretty gardens there. Our trip is nearing the end. We only have Xi'an(She an) and Beijing left to do. Xi'an to see the tearracotta warriors. Beijing to see the great wall and finish up our trip. Then it's back home to Canada to see everyone again!!!!!! =D Man, this trip went by very fast. And here I thought one week goes by fast! We only have one week left this Saturday!! 9 days left to be exact. Then it's back on a 14 hour plane ride. Yay, can't wait to go on a long plane ride :S
Blog to you guys later 😉
