National Minority Museum

Summary: After we visit the China Central Television Tower we went to the National Musuem of the ethnic minority people.

In Chine are 56 minority groups. All these groups are represented here and are original people from the homecountry who have there own business here in this parkmuseum.

China is a unified multnational country. The 56 nationalities coexist, cooperate, co-develop and co-create here the splendid Chinese civilization as well as the spirit of the Chinese Nation. Different environments and history give the nationalities their own unique cultures.

The China Nationalities Museum and the Chinese Ethnic Culture Park are supplement to form the center of the cultural activities in the Beijing National Olympic Park.

This park and museum give you the opportunity to learn more about the 56 different Chinese nationalities.

Today we visit the first park, later this week are we going to the second part.

Lieve vrienden en vriendinnen,

Na ons bezoek aan de CCTV Tower gaan wij nu naar het Nationale Museum voor etnische minderheden. In China zijn 56 nationaliteiten. Ieder met hun eigen culturele en historische achtergrong. In dit park, dat uit twee delen bestaat en deel uitmaakt van het Olympische Park van Beijing zijn alle nationalteiten vertegenwoordigd.

Deze mensen proberen hier hun eigen cultuur en historie uit te dragen aan de bezoekers van dit park. Voorzien overigens voor een groot deel in hun eigen onderhoud door locale produkten te verkopen.

Gezien de omvang van beide parken bezoeken wij vandaag het eerste park en in de loop van de volgende week gaan wij naar het tweede park. Op een van de foto's is duidelijk het Olympische stadion te zien dat in 2008 gebruikt gaat worden voor o.a. de openings- en de sluitingsceremonie,
