Wow...it has such a long history. It was initially built during the Ming Dynasty (1417), and was the front door of the Forbidden City. I'm so lucky to see this, because it wasn't until recently that foreigners were allowed inside!

And it's even more amazing when you know the whole history (especially in 1989)...being there gives you such an unexplainable feeling...

Delicious! I'm serious, this local dish is one of a kind. You must try this if you decide to come to Beijing. It's an experience in itself...like living in Imperial China!

Yes, but it's very crowded everywhere in China! The thing with Beijing is, I feel like people are always in a hurry to go somewhere. So it's very fast-paced in comparison to other places, like where I am now (Chengdu)...
