After class, we went to Yuanmingyuan ("round bright park?") to relax. The scenery was beautiful and the clouds made very interesting and regular patterns in the sky. Yuanmingyuan had many beautiful gardens and buildings and the French and English destroyed it. They decided not to restore it, so one can see the damage that the Western imperialists did. The park was huge so we didn't see many of the ruins, mostly many lakes of lotus flowers!
