Qianmen for the lantern festival
I just posted a blog but I forgot to add a few pictures, so I don't have much to say in this one. The pictures are from the Great Wall and the Lantern Festival. The Great Wall everyone knows about, my program brought us there a few weeks ago, it was a lot of fun. It actually ended up snowing a little bit to it was very pretty. The Lantern Festival marks the end of the 2 week new years celebration. It also means the end of fireworks, which I think we are all very thankful for. After three weeks of constant fireworks I don't think I'll be laying in my bed at night thinking, "I wish I had some ridiculously loud bangs and flashes of light to fall asleep to." The lantern festival was a Friday morning activity we did as a class. We only have tests every other Friday so the Fridays without tests we go out and do something fun. The tea house from the previous blog was another such activity, which actually happened after the Lantern Festival, we also went to a morning produce/everything you can think of market once.

On Monday my best friend here

Traditional Chinese parade
in China, Zach, went back to the US. He has been injured since last semester, and it seems to go in and out as far as severity goes. On Saturday I guess he hurt his back while moving into the dorms so he didn't have to walk from off-campus everyday. I didn't hear about it until Sunday after he had decided to go back home. I'm glad he can go home and finally get the medical attention he needs to fix himself, but I'm going to miss him. We literally hung out almost everyday this semester, and we hung out a lot last semester too. Hopefully we will meet again in the US.

Well there's not much else to say right now. I know it's been a wave of blogs lately, I'll try to spread them out more for the second half of the semester.

God Bless
