Well, It was great to see Chinese New Year, but boy am I glad that is all over!
In truth, the New year only last for 1 week, but unofficially, the fireworks continue for another week. It has been amazing to see, the night sky awash with fireworks... but it really plays havoc with the sllep patterns. The fireworks have to be loud, to scare away the demons, devils or whatever.. and they go all night. So, I have not been getting much sleep. :o(
On the work front, we have no relocated to the permanant office, which is nicer than the temporary place we were at. I have a lot to do here, training over a dozen people to perform a challenging role, and I only have a matter of weeks to do so. This period would be the time you would expect to train 1 or maybe 2... but 14 or 15..?? Its going to be a tough ask. We'll see how it goes.
What exciting things have I done since my last blog?? I ate stew with chop sticksticks... not a easy task to perform I can promise you. Alot of work stuff... went to a shopping center supermarket and had an adventure wandering around looking at some of the more unusual local foods on offer. Ate some genuine local food, and also ate pizza and KFC... Suffering a little with a cold... but its not too bad :o)
Looking forward to Annie and the boys arriving, thats when most of the exploring will be done. I'll try to attach a little video of the firworks. But for now, till my next blog... C ya!
Stephen.

Stephen, I hope you get some rest soon. I know if anyone can train 14 in the time it takes to train 2, you can !! Make sure to try that rural delicacy Duck Neck. Surprisingly (not really) chewy but flavourful. At least it's not Detroit and those are fireworks you hear, not some gang drive-by. There's always an upside. Travel safe. Sleep fast.
