We have had a extremely quick history lesson and it has left us feeling both pretty sick and made us realise just how lucky we are and everyone who we know.
Cambodia has had a pretty rough time since like foverever but recently and I mean only 5 years before I was born this country was in complete crisis there was a government in power called Khmer Rouge who were the most brutal, radical and gencidal goverments the world has ever seen. The leader Pol Pot was responsible for the torturing and killing of millions of Cambodians over 3 years from 1975 to 1979. We visited his number one camp S21 which was an old school converted to toture prison and then from here we headed up to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek where over two million people are buried in mass graves most murdered by beating or buried alive to save bullets this was a truly sad day.
Met with a French couple for dinner went to a French restaurant and gorged down some damn good rare beef with a touch of classy red wine super.
Next day was much happier, we went and

Nice Side Parting checked out the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda just another fancy Wat with a silver floor. I am pretty Wat 'd out so we did not stay long before heading to sort our Vietnam visas out and a quick look around a market bought a bunch of Disney DVD's Nibby is so stoked. Went out for a great dinner with two Auzzies Mal & Karyll.
