shrinkage

i think we all know that we are shorter in the evening than we are in the morning. i saw it firsthand at the guesthouse i moved to this day. in the morning, when i found the room my head hit the bathroom ceiling. i didn't decide to take this room till later in the day. when i returned i found that i could in fact stand up in the bathroom and figured i must have had my sandals on when i first looked at the room.

it was the next morning that i realized that i shrink an incredible amount during the day. in the morning i cannot stand erect in this bathroom while in the evening i can stand upright without hitting the ceiling. it is difficult to tell how much my height changes but it must be an inch or so.
i am very careful while in the bathroom for the next few days (i thought i would be here 1 or 2 nights only). what i am willing to put up with in order to have a tv. still haven't gone for air con!

ps. i am glad to report no extra head dings during this guesthouse stay!!
