Very hot and dry day for the final day of the 3-day Water Festival in Phnom Penh. We went to a nearby market in the morning and had breakfast, selecting local foods from various stalls. It was very good. We took 2 cyclos from the market to Wat Phnom, a small temple on a slight hill in the northern end of town, near the river.

We walked through the crowds as we may our way south along the river bank, watching some of the boat races as we went. We stopped for lunch at the Foreign Correspondent's Club, giving us a view across the river from the second floor.

After lunch, we enjoyed more of the festival atmosphere and activities and then visited the National Museum which houses a range of religious statues and artefacts from the 19th Century back to B.C.
