In December 2006 I left my job as 'Interdisciplinary Research Officer' at the University of Manchester. Before setting out on my RTW trip, I carried out a vast amount odf de-cluttering and de-junking, completed (reading) a number of careers books, produced web sites and a chapter for a high-profile book for London Transport Museum, plus generated some ideas for further articles. my sister lives in Phnom Penh
and we visited in February. Found it quite a harrowing place to visit but there is amazing work going on by so many NGO's and some very small charities. Apparently there are 20,000 street children here - of a populaiton of 200,000, found this quite shocking. Strongly recommend you return one day if you are able as a fascinating to place to spend time in!
