Sunset on the beach after a hard day sleeping!
Well it would seem that i have neglected you somewhat! For that i apologise.

All i can say is i had a damn good time doing it! After drunken debauchary in Siem Reap i continued my pilgrimage to the south Coast and spent 4 nights there. During the day i just chilled out on the beach and during the nights i continued to party far too hard. Have vague recollections of hanging one handed from a rafter in a bar while peeling and eating a banana with the other, for the reason that we thought it seemed like a good game! The really bad behaviour is not for public consumption but you can apply in writing if you want details!!

So really i didn't have a lot to tell you except that the beaches were great and it was lovely to chill out and not have to pack up and move on for a few days. All good things come to an end though and yesterday i boarded a bus back to Phnom Penh and have spent today clinging onto the back of a moped riding through the busiest, maddest streets you've ever seen. Went to see the killing

fields (the scene of some of the mass killings and graves of the Poll Pot regime) and then to S-21 (the detention and torture centre). This was not a pleasent experience and by the end i felt physically sick and very emotional. Its hard to take in that such a short time ago a country was gripped by the hands of a lunatic. I've spent the rest of the afternoon pretty down beat and just chilling out on the lake edge here.

Tomorrow i'm catching the bus to Vietnam and into Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh City). Got mixed feelings cos its supposed to be great but manic and pretty aggressive and there is a typhoon there at the moment! I'll be sure to take care and get back to you when i'm in a more upbeat and jovial mood. Take care loved ones, you are all missed and thought of often. XX
