Siem Reap was the second major city in Cambodia, not as hectic as Phnom Penh but it had a charm about it, reminded me of Luang Prabang in Laos.

The main attraction here was Angkor Wat which is one of the wonders of the world. One day Neal and I visited the main temple to watch the sunset this was pretty impressive. Then the following day we took a motorbike tour of all the main temples, only endured it for about 4 hours, we saw all the major temples including the one used for the Tombraider film (unfortunately never saw Lara Croft). Had a pretty scary moment when walking back through some bushes from one of the temple walls a snake slithered across my feet!!!!

Spent the remainder of our time here eating (some really good food), watching football, nursing hangovers, shopping at the cool markets or generally lazing around. Next stop Battambong.
