The structure of Shwedagon Pagoda

Out of thousands of pagodas throughout Myanmar, this is the most prestigious of them all. Constructed 2500 years ago, the present height of The Shwedagon Pagoda is 326 feet. The top of the pagoda is covered with diamonds (79,569 to be exact), rubies and other precious gems. This pagoda's compound is adorned with numerous Buddha statues, all of which represents a different Buddha. The Burmese believe in more than one Buddha. Great place to catch the sunset or people watch as locals both young and old mingle.
