Trip to Burma in March - Need 2-3 companions/photographers

I am looking for 2-3 traveling companions for a short 14 day photography trip to Burma/Myanmar in March 2012. I had a full trip of 4, but the other three had to pull out. I have created a MeetUp site for discussion. http://www.meetup.com/Travel-Photography-and-Writing/"

The price will be somewhere in the area of $1500 for the two weeks (excluding international flights). Might go lower as I work with other companies, but will not go any higher. I have several possible itineraries, but here is the one I like the most.

Day 1) Yangon arrival in the morning – after a brief rest, shoot at downtown and major pagodas including great Shwedagon
Transportation: Car
Hotel: Kandawgyi Palace Hotel / 5* / Lakefront Deluxe

Day 2) Yangon – drive to Golden Rock in the morning with shooting at local market and a large monastery in Bago – continue to the base camp, drive to the middle camp by public transport (45?min ride) and 40?min hike to the summit (palanquin available) – sunset photography at Golden Rock temple and stay overnight on top of the mountain
Transportation: Car, local bus (lorry)
Hotel: Mountain Top Hotel / 2* / Standard Room

Day 3) Golden Rock – optional sunrise shoot and return to Yangon with visits en route and at Bago – optional sunset/night shoot at Shwedagon pagoda – overnight in Yangon
Transportation: Car, local bus (lorry)
Hotel: Kandawgyi Palace Hotel / 5* / Lakefront Deluxe

Day 4) Yangon – fly to Mandalay in the morning – typical Burmese village and alms bowl making shooting on the way from airport the city – in the afternoon, visit Golden Palace monastery, King Mindon’s palace, the world biggest books, and Mandalay Hill top for sunset shoot
Transportation: Car, flight
Hotel: Mandalay City Hotel / 3*/ Superior Room

Day 5) Mandalay – morning shoot at the backstreet Zaycho market area – then private boat trip to Mingun village on Ayerwaddy river – return to Mandalay and sunset photography from U Bein footbridge
Transportation: Car, boat
Hotel: Mandalay City Hotel / 3* / Superior Room

Day 6) Mandalay – leave Mandalay for Monywa in the morning – on the way, shoot at Gold leaf beating place, Mahamuni temple, and monastery shooting at Amarapura’s Mahagandaryon monastery – then buggy tour on the island of Inwa and shoot at massive teak monastery where little monks are studying – drive to Sagaing and shoot at pink?rob nuns at a nunnery – another 2 hours drive to Monywa for overnight stop
Transportation: Car, ferry boat, horse cart
Hotel: Win Unity Hotel / 3* / Deluxe Gardenview Room

Day 7) Monywa – transfer to jetty in the morning and cross Chindwin river by ferry boat – local jeep trip to interesting Po
Win Daung caves and visit – return to Monywa to visit Thanboddhay temple and then drive to Pakokku on the western bank of Ayeyarwaddy river – private boat journey to Bagan and enjoy sunset from the boat – overnight in Bagan
Transportation: Car, boat, ferry boat, local jeep
Hotel: Bagan Thande Hotel Riverside / 3* / Deluxe Garden view room

Day 8) Bagan – sunrise shoot and have breakfast – full day Bagan temple tour and shootings at local market and lacquer ware factory – sunset shoot from Shwesandaw’s terraces

Day 9) Bagan – another sunrise shoot from different temple by using horse cart – drive outside Bagan and shoot at toddy
farmhouse and Kyaukpadaung Market (off?the?beaten track) – then drive to Mt Popa and visit – on the way back shoot at typical Burmese village if times permissible and last sunset shoot from different temple top
Transportation: Car, horse cart
Hotel: Bagan Thande Hotel Riverside / 3* / Deluxe Garden view room

Day10) Bagan – fly to Heho early in the morning – drive to Nyaungshwe docks and boat trip to the Inle Lake – after check?in at the hotel, shoot on the main lake and villages on the stilt
Transportation: Car, boat, flight
Hotel: Golden Island Cottages II / Superior Room / Traditional style on the water

Day 11) Inle Lake ? visit 5?day market (couldn’t give the name without the tour dates) and Inn Dein ruins – also shoot at the Padaung longneck place, major pagodas and monasteries – overnight in Inle Lake
Transportation: Boat
Hotel: Golden Island Cottages II

Day 12) Inle Lake – shoot at another 5?day market and the remaining highlights – transfer to Nyaungshwe in the afternoon and free at leisure (or) walking tour of photo?friendly town
Transpiration: Boat
Hotel: Amazing Nyaungshwe Resort / 2*+ / Deluxe Room

Day 13 Nyaungshwe – early morning monks alms collection shoot, tomatoes jetty and warehouses, and Shweyanpay monastery – in the afternoon, transfer to Heho airport and fly back to Yangon
Transportation: Car, local pickup truck for monastery shoot
Hotel: Kandawgyi Palace Hotel / 5* / Lakefront Deluxe

Day 14) Yangon free and easy self?organized visits in the downtown sections ? pick up from the hotel and transfer to Yangon airport for your departure flight
Transportation: Car for airport transfer only


Included:
