Uganda (The Last King of Scotland)

Uganda is a small country located in southern Africa holding a population of about 35 million. Although many countries are out of poverty, but Uganda still remains desperately poor because of its government and corrupt leaders. For example in 1971 the dictator named Idi Amin took charge over Uganda and ruled the country for almost 8 eight years. When he became a leader he promised his people that he will build roads, schools, buildings etc. Although he promised them many things, he never fulfilled his promises. Under his power people were not allowed to talk against him. If they do, then they would get executed. In the movie "The Last King of Scotland" we saw that he killed more than 300,000 people who rose against him. People did not do anything because of his brutal fear amongst them. At the end, the movie shows that Ugandans overthrew Amin for good. Today, Uganda is better than when Amin was in power, but still living under poverty.
