Happy Birthday, Jacob!

Happy Birthday, Jacob!

We hope this finds you all doing well. Our family has been spending today celebrating Jacob's 20th birthday. It's hard to believe that two of our children are already out of their teen years, when it seems like only yesterday that our oldest became a teenager. Everyone made Jacob a card, and then we took turns telling what each of us thought was special about Jacob. Every one of us had the thought that Jacob's goodness and spirituality are very exemplary. We are very proud of the young man that he is today.

A Thank you

We want to say a special thanks to one of the children's Bible classes and their teacher, at the North Charleston Church of Christ, in North Charleston, SC. We received a big box from them recently, full of visual aids, paper, scissors, glue, and other useful things for teaching Bible class. They also included some very nice goodies for us. Included in the box was a number of travel sized toothpastes, plus some toothbrushes, so we thought this would be a nice gift to the children in my Bible class here in Moshi. When we handed them out after Bible class

They showed such a generous spirit and outpouring of love for us and for the children we will be able to teach, using the materials sent by the North Charleston children's Bible class.
one Sunday morning, we made sure to tell them they were a gift from the church in North Charleston.

An Update

George and Jacob have been healing from their accident. The cuts on their eye have healed nicely. George has experienced quite a bit of pain since the accident. The steering column of the vehicle was actually bent from the force of his body, so you know that bruised him quite a bit inside. Last week he tried to keep up his work, but paid the price. This week he has tried to keep still, get extra rest, and do a lot of study and book work, and that has helped. He still is not pain free, but he is doing better.

Regarding the insurance, etc., until the police close the case, the insurance company will not proceed, and so we wait. Hopefully we will hear something from the police next week. Things move slow here, and so we patiently take each day as it comes.

We thank each of you who have offered up repeated prayers on behalf of our family. They have been great comfort to us, especially over the last couple of weeks.

May the Lord bless and keep you.
