the proud little helper - preparing the porridge
Hello, wow, time just flies when you are having fun! This is already the last week at the volunteer placement, and i am getting quite sad to have to say good bye to "my " kids already ! the adventures to come are certainly exciting however, i could easily stay a bit longer to continue to help out and just experience the way of life in Moshi... well, there will be a nex time for sure. So anyhow, this week, on Monday evening, we (all volunteers) were invited to an african dinner and dance celebration at a local vocational school, where young adults are being trained to work in the tourism and hotel industry. . The evening was a total succes, great food, and fun dancing, a mixture of traditional dance and as the evening prpgressed, pretty much just african pop/dance music, and so we all joined in and had a blast. The people here love to dance and sing, and so everyone was on the dance floor, old, young, and all us mzungus! A great timeI also wanted to upload a few more pictures from my "school" so that you can picture what it's like and get to meet the

kids. so enjoy checking things out! A couple of you have asked how you can help, or if you could send supplies, and i want to thank you for your energy and desire to help. At this time, it is quite difficult to receive packages in Tanzania, and often a very high import tax is requested when one picks the packages up at the post office, hence a lot of the teachers or schools here often do not even get the packages mailed from the US or elsewhere because they cannot afford the tax. I have been buying some school supplies locally for the kids, and we entered into an agreement with a local school supplies store that they will continue to give the CCS volunteers a good deal if we buy things in bulk from them, so that will help and has helped already. Also, the one thing all these kids really need is love and the knowledge that someone cares, colored paper, fancy pens, or other materials that they could not get here will not help for the long term, and the long term sustainability of assistance is what is needed the most. So maybe think
