It is a bit warm in Tanzania today! the weather has been getting hotter for the last couple of weeks now. Is nice coming on weekends to Tanga though as its by the sea and we can use a swimming pool.
The big news in Yamba this week has been the saga of my missing trousers! It was announced in church and a letter sent to the chairman of the village, they even sent a search party out to look for them! As nothing ever gets stolen in yamba it is a big deal!
Two new volunteers have arrived, Phil from Warrington who is here to do football training with the kids and a lad called Tom who has just climed Kilimanjaro to raise money for the charity. Teaching is going well, has been a big turn around at the school, all the teachers have been in and sober and there is a new teacher from dar es salaam. The pupils have exams next month so there is a lot more teaching going on. I have been having some swahili lessons with a boy called Boniface which has been fun.
Weekends in Tanga are very relaxing, its a really sleepy
little town on the coast. Used to be quite a big trading port so there is lots of interesting architercture and it has a strong indian influence, there are also lots of good places to eat. On our next weekend away we are going to a place called Peponi so I may not be able to get to the internet. Anyway I hope everyone is ok, hope you like the new photos xxx

Boy chasing chickens is very funny. I think he needs a bigger axe.
