hot hot hot it is here haha ....... so last heard i was in a hotel in dar es salaam . i spent the night there or at least till about 5 am and i had to leave to catch my 10 hour bus to arusha the city am working at ..... the night was terrifying i cudnt sleep it seemed like there was a dead animal in the washroom and many different noises throught the night and may i mention the door was locked but really it wasnt haha ...... anyways i got up n remember this place in downtown centre ....... i was packing my stuff when i noticed many different people are just laying on the ground and sleeping everywhere , which i kno we see in vancouver but still it was pretty shocking . i got into the taxi and towards the bus station that goes down to my city . At 5 am in the morning people were everywhere and it was crazy busy and ofcourse many people just laying around on the floors everywhere asleep, but everyone was up and ready for a work day . i got to the bus and i must say i was impressed the bus was big and comfy chairs as well .... everyone is nice down here they jus carried my bags for me wherever i went , actually the taxis fought for my bags haha ....... anyways i got onto the bus n finally moved n this bus costs about 15 dollars to go 10 hour ride and also they provide u with snacks and cold drinks .... so it was very good service and that is one thing i noticed down here , there r many busses that r for use and many different methods of transportation that r very easy to access n cheap for passengers to use . everywhere u went in the city u would see the spiritual side of these people.... everywhere there is always something that says glory to god , or thank god, or god is one and many different statments . Also these people have nothing to look forward to and nothing to work hard towards because they have no resources nor opprtunities to improve their lives , but they still thrive and are very happy n grateful with what they have which is very very very little to what we have ..... it amazes me how hard they work even when they kno they will not get further , so i wonder y do we never take such chances when we actually can get further in life .... its very unfortunate. there is nothing here that makes it look like a city aLL u see are mud huts n random sticks put together and people r living in it ...... their mud is red in colour not like ours brown and that is due to the soil contenants. here r some things that i have observed during my bus trip :

- they have many and many plantations and open spaces, they just need a guide to construct well
- they burn garbage and plastic outside and i think people die more of pollution then dieseases
- there r NO laws wutsoever , its very hard to follow cuz u have to fight for ur right
- the traffic and driving is crazy , i though i was gona die many times
- the kids had shifts in going to school , either morning n then work . or goto work n then school
- the kids walk alone to school n there r no main roads just one big one and rest r just there to find ur way .
- the male population is about 80 % to 20% females
- their school uniforms are blue skirt or pants and white shirt , and most kids have shaved heads even girls
- people r everywhere selling stuff , from clothes to water to anything and they like molest u to buy it
- the police carry around beating sticks and very visible huge guns , i think its pretty cool
- shocking but i saw a dollarama store here haha
- their highschools r just open spaces and people just standing or sitting on grass
- the people walk everywhere and they walk crazy distances all the time , it is not joke in commercials
- the men r very respectful to eachother and to other women as well , and all share this sense of helping eachother and belonging to one family
- toyotas are the most used cars here and thats all u see

those are the bunch of things i observed and i guess generalized because there r many poeple here that follow those things and it is overly crowded .

so i go to arusha finally the city and i was supposte to get picked up by the program coordinator , but only the second i step out of the bus n got my luggage i had 5 taxi drivers fight over my luggage and whos going to take me , it was very disturbing , so i simply said NO am going to get picked up n i need to use ur phone haha so dum , anyways some guy let me use his phone n i steped to the side n waited , in the meanwhile ofcourse am an alien here so everyone is eyeing me n smiling , it makes u feel sooo uncomfortable omg like crazy u jus wana hide ...... anyways the guy that let me use his phone comes n asks my number am like haha NO am canadian it wont work hes like its ok give it to me am like NOO .... he walks away n then comes back with his number haha hes like this is mine plz call me am like UHHHH thx he walks away i threw it away ....... so finally iget picked up n head to where i am staying , it was beautiful , since the rest of my group isnt here then i get my own room for now haha but when they arrive on friday then i gota share lol , and i meet 5 other girls that have been here before me n chit chatted the night away . tomorow i get a first hands on experience with a project the two girls r doing which is about the families of the kids they teach , but i dont get to start any offical work due to the rest of my group not being here , so it sux but i guess ill be riding motorcycles and touring the city for now haha ........... thats my crazy update for u guys ...... n oh ya bungee jumping n safaris r shit cheap here so haha i cant wait ........ Ill c u next time lots of love from tanzania :D
