Elephants having fun in the waterhole.

This afternoon on my break, Paul and I drove a few metres from the gate of the carpark to the wetland area. Here we sat in the cruiser and observed the many breeding herds of elephants that were in the area. The elephants were having a great time drinking, splashing, swimming, rolling in mud and having fun. We enjoyed watching them. I didn't know where to look, as there was so much activity going on all around us.

Paul then wanted to get closer to the elephants and got out of the vehicle. He lay at the side of the waterhole to get some great photos of the elephants. This was a nice way to start my afternoon break.
