Late this afternoon Paul proudly caught a Mozambique Spitting Cobra at the lodge and put it into a cooler box. These snakes are quite venomous and will spit venom into a person's eyes, not the kind of snake we want to have around the lodges! He prefers to do the right thing and relocate snakes that are found in the lodge grounds. We drove for about 15 minutes. Paul put the cooler box on the ground and then carefully kicked open the lid so that the snake could get out and hopefully not come back to the lodge! It slowly slithered away into the bush.

We then took the long way back to the lodge. Didn't see much except when we turned down a track on the side and there were two male lions. They were slowly walking down the track away from us. They seemed to be stalking a giraffe in the distance. When the giraffe stopped eating and looked in their direction, the lions would stand still. This happened a few times, until finally the giraffe and its other two friends made a run for it. The lions were not interested enough to chase them- would have

been so amazing to see a kill!

We continued to follow them down the track, one of the lions stopped at a tree to sharpen his claws on the tree trunk. Then out of the long came appeared a third male lion. The three of them continued walking. Coming the other way on the dirt track was one of the lodge's other vehicles. These guests were very lucky, as the three hungry looking lions walked right past their vehicle. We followed for a bit longer and then decided to head back to the lodge.
