The other day I was going through some of the thousands of tract that they have here and I picked out a few to read and from those I found these two poems that I wanted to share with you, I hope that you enjoy.

This one is for any of your who have had trials in your life lately, those of you who have emailed me to let me know, I am praying for you.

A Tribute to my Friends

I’ve always had a feeling—

That God sent you my way,

He knew that I would need your help

To walk along life’s way.

You’re steady—true and loyal

An anchor in life’s sea,

And when my ship goes to tossing—

You always stand by me.

Just your presence helps me

To know that you are around,

I’m honored with your friendship

Few friends like you I’ve found.

You’re always there to help me

When the road of life gets rough,

I’ve found out throughout the years—

You’re a friend that I can trust.

Each time that I have needed you

You have given your advice,

What you said or wrote—made me stop

Listen—and think twice.

You have wisdom—your decisions—

Seem always right and just,

It makes us all happy,

To have friends—who care for us.

-Vesta Kimble

How true this is:

If God Should go on Strike

It’s just a good thing God above

Has never gone on strike,

Because He wasn’t treated fair

For things he didn’t like.

If He had ever once sat down

And said, “That’s it, I’m through,

I’ve had enough of those on earth,

So this is what I’ll do:

I’ll give my orders to the sun:

Cut off your heat supply,

And to the moon: give no more light,

And run those oceans dry!

Then, just to really make it tough

And put the pressure on,

Turn off the oxygen and the air

Till every breath is gone.”

You know that He’d be justified

If fairness were the game,

For no one has been more abused

Or treated with disdain

Than God—and yet He carries on

Supplying you and me

With all the favors of His Grace,

And everything—for Free!

Men say they want a better deal

And so, on strike they go,

But what a deal we’ve given God

To Whom all things we owe.

We don’t care who we hurt or harm

To get the things we like,

But what a mess we’d all be in

If God should go on strike!
