Leaving Stellenbosch for the beautiful wine area Paarl, we used for the first time in our trip the metro. A funny experience as we were the only white people and provoked a lot of smiles. We were welcomed for three days at Eric and Mariette's place, who moved 12 years ago to South Africa and bought a beautiful vineyard in Paarl called Groot Parys. They mostly produce white wine and champagne, which they mainly export to the Netherlands. Every day at sunset we had the chance to taste there delicious products, lucky us! Moreover, did we discover again the luxury of having a room of your own and a private bathroom, which gave us an amazing feeling. It's funny how sometimes you forget about these little things that can really make you happy.

Beside enjoying our every morning swim in their amazing swimming pool with a fantastic view, we also had the opportunity to visit with Eric some more vineyards. Next to the wine tasting in the "Twee jongen gezellen" in Tulbagh, Eric brought us to the new upcoming trendy wine in South Arica, Swartland and indeed the wine we tasted was delicious!

Again a place where we have been treated like princesses and our stay in Paarl permitted us to fully recharge for upcoming adventures in Cape Town.
