a sharks tale!

We have had a fantastic couple of days other than the mosquito bites!!!. Thursday we drove from Cape town into the Garden Route in the West Cape very beautiful!We had a very long drive then a Big 5 safari where we saw elephants, lions, buffalo,zebra, white rhinos,wilderbeast(sorry if spelt wrong),giraffes,springbok and lots of other which I cannot remember names of!!!It was Amazing! We then had dinner in a Boma- which is an african hut type thing- lovely food including ostrich which we both ate- quite meaty tasty and very healthy apparently!!
We have been to visit an ostrich farm where I rode an ostrich- v bizarre but I enjoyed it, Jon was too heavy to ride!We then went to the caves which were fantastic massive in parts then other parts were very narrow apparently a woman on the larger side got stuck in there for 10 hours last year!!the narrowest part was approx 20cm but she refused to listen to the advice of the people in charge!!!After the cave we went to a willife ranch and saw lots of other animals including Cheetah and white bengal tigers. I didint realise how little I knew about animals!!!
Saturday we went on a canoe trip up the black river followed by a hike upto a waterfall at the top- well worth it. we had a swim at the top but i got chased by an eel of some sort, i was really pathetic!We went to the world tallest bungee at baloukrans but nnone of us wanted to do it it is 216m high!!!
Sunday we went on the zip slides which was fun! see photos! really high up over waterfalls and forests!Yetserday we went to Dyer Island or shark alley which is known as the mc donalds drive through for great white sharks!We had a 20min boat ride to the ocean when I was really sea sick and managed to get it all over Jon it was horrible.We then waited about 1.5 hours on the boat and there were no sign of sharks, I was busy vomming over the side when all of a sudden a shark appeared we then jumped into the cage and into the water!I was so busy trying not to throw up I wasnt too fussed by the sharks they are amazing.We saw 4 sharks in total the biggest ws about 2.5 m long it looked bigger than that to me.
Its our last day in capetown today so we have had a long walk around the city then down to the beach which took hours !next stop to see big head in jo burg!

South africa's favourite town apparently. Bit dull on a sunday though.

There are townships everywhere, horrible to look at. Hundreds of wooden shacks as far as you can see.

Wicked!!!
Hi to you both, glad you got there safe and sound, it looks and sounds like you are having a wicked time, like the picture of you on a ostrich, I bet that was cool. You seem to be doing lots, Jon why didn't you get a picture on Mich being sick (you lite weight). Keep the photos coming, it's good to see wot u are both up 2. Love Linzi X

Trips lookin good.
Sounds like you have been rather busy, bet all them animals have been well ace. The picture of mich on the ostrich and jon running behind looks like summat off a comedy sketch, proper makes me laugh. ENJOY.
