Edit Blog Post
First off, we have not been lost in Berlin this whole time. The lack of blogs may be directly correlated to the niceness of the weather here in Sydney, Australia, where we currently are. Also some deals were made regarding who was supposed to write this blog, however, someone dropped the ball. I won't name and shame because I have to continue traveling with her...
Cape Town was an amazing two weeks of fun in the sun.
You are all probably tired of hearing us say how blessed we are with wonderful, kind and generous friends. But we are so will say so again.
We stayed with our friends Claire and Tim and their two little boys Hugo and Andrew. We also got to spend many fantastic days with our friends Sarah (Sarah and Claire are sisters) and Jason and their two little boys Jacob and the new baby Thomas. Sarah was off on maternity leave so during the day her and baby Thomas played tour guide for us, which was amazing. At two months old Thomas has probably seen more of Cape Town then most people. He was an awesome little trooper.
We decided spending time
with everyone in Cape Town was more important than traveling around South Africa, so we stayed pretty close to CT. The weather was amazing there, hence the title of this blog, a saying used by our friends on a daily basis.
In no particular order, some of our highlights were:
• Whale watching in Hermanus and almost blowing away in the wind
• Penguins and swimming at Boulders
• Several wineries, including Stellenbosch
• Cape of Good Hope where the two oceans meet
• Hiking up Lion's Head with Jason and great views of Table Mountain
• Multiple beaches and great restaurants
• Calling all cars "lightning!" and saying "haro!" to everyone...both of which seemed to have stuck in our vocabulary
• Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with a fancy pants lunch
• Market lunch in the CBD
• A braai with Claire and Sarah's parents, Sharon and Mark, and their lovely English friends Jane and Mark
• Kim's new favourite food, Wellington's Peach Chutney
• AND WE GOT TO PET A REALLY BIG KITTY!!!!!!! A CHEETAH NAMED HARRIS!!!!!!!!!
For us on the Canadian Dollar food and drink was very cheap. For example it is possible to get a really nice bottle South African red for about $4 and
we may have exploited this advantage a few times.
As you can see from our photos Cape Town is a truly beautiful city with a great outdoor lifestyle and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. And the best part of all was catching up with old friends and having a great time with their kids.
After Cape Town we went back to London for a few days to get organized for our next and longest leg to Sydney.
London was filled with some sad goodbyes and packing up our TOO MUCH STUFF.
I would promise that we will be better at blogging here, however, it is 31 Degrees Celsius (90+ Fahrenheit) and beautiful out today and probably time for another swim...please don't wish us bad weather 😊

Ah,the Sights
I love these blogs, but even more I love the photos. It's wonderful to see so much of the world through the eyes of people you love. I am so thankful that you two have so many wonderful friends all over the world.
