A Promenade Walk Along the Ocean

The walk today started below Lion Head Mountain.The peak forms part of a dramatic backdrop to the city of Cape Town and is part of the Table Mountain National Park.

The sun was starting to set as we walked along the promenade of the affluent Bantry Bay Area.

We learnt how Charles Darwin made important geological observations here relating to the nature and origin of granite.
