Holding the Lion cub :)
Over the 2012 Christmas period I went to visit my aunt and uncle on their farm in Potchefstroom. We took a drive out the one day to their other farm just outside Klerksdorp - for those of you who may be a little lost... ever heard of a place called "Wawiel Park"?

My uncle wanted to show us from the road how we could see the lions that were being kept in a Lion Park. We were stuck with in coming traffic behind us and had to proceed up the driveway to make a U-turn.

We were surprised to see that it was actually open to the public. For only R50 we had the best experience. We could play with Lion cubs and get to see how they feed all the animals on the farm. Other than lions they have two leopards (female is tame), wild dogs (who make the strangest noises and a wild cat.

They dont offer anything to eat but do have a bar with some liquid refreshments.

If you ever head towards this side of SOUTH AFRICA... Visit: KOHRA Lion Park

If farming is your thing and you want to see Mielies... really nice Mielies... you have to see my uncle's MIELIES! :D

I took some video footage of them feeding the Lions - will post that link soon!
