Waterfall Route
Long drive from Joburg to Kruger National Park, so we decided to overnight in Graskop. The roads swept through spectacular mountain scenery on the way to Sabie, the start of our waterfalls tour. The Waterfalls Route takes in lots of falls along the road from Sabie to Graskop but we only had time to visit Bridal Falls, Sabie Falls and the Creek Falls, which we found the most impressive.

Panorama Route
Next we drove along the Panorama Route, stopping to survey the Pinnacle, a tall column of rock in the gorge. Peering out of God's Window and surveying Wonder View, were both awesome! The vistas certainly lived up to their namesakes! We ventured past Graskop to visit the Potholes. The Potholes are really unusual rock formations, carved by the meeting of two rivers - The Blyde and The Truer - in the canyon. It was here early prospectors panned for gold. The only sparkly bits in the water now are from the coppers silly tourists throw in the water for luck.

looks good..
It looks very nice, but cold, you look like you're - here - actually, apart from the very pretty landscape and interesting rock formations. Did you throw some copper into the river like a silly tourist? It still looks good anyway - glad you took your fleece. x
