Home is where the heart is , so they say.

And indeed that is where my heary belongs, to the Eastern Cape . Eastern Cape is where I lived for a good eight years while my mother was here in Johannesburg working for my siblings and I and this was when my parents were separeting and Eastern Cape quickly became home, everything was just right my gran was my mother at the time. And now that I am back here in Jozi it makes me that much proud to be the young xhosa woman I am today. I am always more than willing to tell or brag about my place of birth, just telling people about the beauty and natural adventure the place has to offer, obviously being in Jozi not a lot of people have been to the Eastern Cape but all they know is the low education rate and high poverty rate which goes back to all the officials incharge of the Eastern Cape and their greed and seflishness how they only care about the development of themsevles and their families, anyway that is a topic for another day on a different blog.

I am proud to say even though I may be an urban city girl of the 21st century I still know where my roots lay and undrstand the xhosa as a culture and traditions. Like i said earlier on Home is definitely where home is and that is truely where the heart belongs. In xhosa we say " Ayikho indawo eqhitha ikhaya, apho kukhona uthando!" meaning there is no place like home where there is LOVE!<3

So inconclusion I really do hope all those that took time reading this will take take time to visit my place of birth especially Queenstown but if not there, there are many other places to visit because it really is a BEAUTY!!!!!!
