Swellendam

Our third attempt to go horse back riding. This time in Swellendam. We never went and it was all Tess' fault! She was sick. =(

Had dinner at the hostel - stew and pumpkin fritters. YUM!! Then we slept for 14 hours. It was needed. When we woke up and realized that the horses had already left for the trail, we took a walk around the town while we waited for the BazBus. Had lunch at The Old Gaul, Rosterkoek - home made bread with cajun chicken and veggies. Definitely a hit!

Best part of Swellendam for us was the very nice woman owning the place and the young guys that were taking care of the place! Cooking dinner and making sure we had a pleasant stay. The town was very picturesque, and lays cuddled in between mountains and forests.
