It costs how much?!

We buy tickets to take us to La Digue and as we are entitled to residence rates, we’ve never known how much it costs for tourists, which is a whole heap of a lot. I’m quite embarrassed. For me it costs about £18 return, for each our guests, 80 EUROS - and that’s just to Praslin. It’s another 20 EUROS to La Digue. I understand the logic for cheaper rates for residents, in a country where the average local wage is about £200 a month but it’s an excessive hike, especially if you are travelling from European countries (or others) where public transport is cheap. The member of staff tries to soften the blow by saying that they can sit anywhere in the boat - big woo - whereas we’ll have to pay extra if we want to sit on top. As the sea at this time of year is rough, we pay the extra - big of us eh?
