Lack of internet access, lack of bandwidth when you do have the internet (one dial-up connection shared between four people anybody??), and lack of electricity through constant power cuts over the last 6 weeks or so mean that its been impossible to keep up to date with this blog. So ... Read Full Entry

Traveling accross Africa by truck
I find your trip very interesting. Can you tell me how you arranged the truck tour? I am also interested in doing a similar journey but don't know how to join a tour or how to collect a group.

Traveling accross Africa by truck
Hi Malek, The company i'm with is overland club (www.overlandclub.com i think). there's plenty of other companys out there though offering different routes. its a budget company and you get what you pay for; so research how much you want to spend and what level of luxury you want before you decide who to travel with!

Howya!
Hi Anne-Marie, Greetings from all in 34 Beechwood! Glad to see your getting on well on your travels and you haven't ran into too many snakes yet. West Africa looks mad - Great pics. Its strange that an Irish person can't go anywhere abroad without been stalked by a few kegs of Guinness!

Dirty Feet
I have to say your feet look an awful lot cleaner than Anto's or mine did after Glastonbury but we did have wellies to help. The scenery looks amazing and seen as we've only had a crap summer so far i'm very jealous. Stay stafe.

I'm you in just a month!
Wow so inspiring...i'm heading to pretty much all the countries you visited in just about a month! Can't even contain my excitement. Question....how did you get to Cameroon? Did you travel through Nigeria on a bus? Did Nigeria feel totally safe to you? (I've heard sketchy stories)....Thanks!
