In the North of Namibia there is a narrow strip of land running east to west for about 300k. It was formerly called the Caprivi Strip but is now known as Kavango East and West and Zmabezi. We drove along its full length today passing through the 200k long Bwabwata National Park on the way.

We are camping at the Mahangu Safari Lodge on the banks of the Okavango River which flows from here south into Botswana where it forms a delta and eventually disappears into the ground.
